Sparkles School of Dance participate in regualr exam sessions. All of our exams are recognised by GQUAL. As a school we have a 100% pass rate and most dancers receive distinction results. We take Tap exams with the IDTA and are members of this board. We are a royal academy of dance RAD registered school and we take yearly RAD Ballet exams with weekly exam classes. We offer Acrobatic Exams also.

Sparkles School of Dance has competed in several competitions across the West Midlands and the world. We also run our own festivals where all children are offered the chance to compete. Our elite team have competed and won at competitions such as Elite Dance Championships, Move it, Can You Dance, Move it Shake it and Birmingham Stage Festival to name a few competitions. We also enter TDCI championship days and have won the 1st place titles. We regularly compete at the prestigious Dance World Cup and have won so many gold medals at this world competition. As a school at competitions we have won numerous awards such as adjudicators choice, most promising dancer, best male dancer, best choreography, highest mark of the festival, novice dancer awards and lots more.

At Sparkles we hold an annual show at the end of the winter term. We include all dancers in our end of year show and it’s always held at a professional theatre. We showcase some of the work dancers have learnt over the last 12 months. Shows have professional lighting and and sound technicians and is a real opportunity for young dancers to feel a part of a professional production.

Sparkles School of Dance have had the privilege to already dance at some amazing theatres such as Birmingham Hippodrome, Birmingham Town Hall, Saddler’s Wells and Disneyland Paris. As a school we will continue to dance at theatres as these are fantastic opportunities for the training dancer.
